You would think that with her role on a popular reality show and her millions of social media followers, Jenelle Evans would receive plenty of attention.
But the Carolina Hurricane is always in need of more.
Which is probably why Jenelle pretended to be separated from David Eason earlier this year.
Don't get us wrong, the Easons appear to have a deeply troubled marriage, complete with abuse and infidelity allegations.
And it looks as though they actually have separated on multiple occasions.
But this latest split? Well, it appears that Jenelle and David clumsily attempted to pull off a publicity stunt hoax -- and failed miserably.
1. The Happy Couple
Jenelle and David usually attempt to give the impression that they're the happiest couple on reality television.
2. Nice Try
Obviously, no one buys the routine, especially since the Easons marital issues are so severe that they're unable to conceal them from the public.
3. Never Forget
The abuse allegations against Eason have been the most severe incidents, but there have been numerous other hardships, including several that led Jenelle and David to publicly call it quits.
4. Changing Tactics
Occasionally, the Easons adopt an "if you can't beat 'em, join 'em" approach, and drum up some publicity by calling attention to their marital troubles.
5. The Con
And so it was that in February of 2019, Jenelle and David attempted to convince their social media followers that they had called it quits.
6. Too Subtle
Jenelle posted that she was "single af" on Facebook and tweeted the question "where's my husband?" to her followers.
