As you've likely heard by now, Jenelle Evans was fired from Teen Mom 2 after her husband, David Eason, shot and killed the family dog in a fit of rage.
The loss of her job was overshadowed by the ensuing deluge of drama which included Jenelle losing custody of her kids.
But while the dissolution of her family might be more devastating than the destruction of her career, it's hard to overstate how much Evans' life changed when MTV handed down its decision and booted her off of the show that made her famous.
It always sucks to get fired, but it's a particularly painful blow in the case of Jenelle, who was making a LOT of money on TM2.
Thanks to newly-released court documents, we finally know exactly how much Evans was being paid, and now we almost feel bad for her. Almost.
Here's what we know about her past and current financial situations:
1. Sad Facts
"Teen Mom 2 cast member" is the only job Jenelle has ever had. Now, at 27 she finds herself unemployed -- and possibly unemployable.
2. Smiling No More
Jenelle was handsomely compensated for her time on the show, but it's not like she was raking in "never work again" money.
3. Deadbeat Dave
Evans' husband, David Eason, was recently sued for back child support, and the legal battle helped shine a light on the Eason's financial situation.
4. What a Guy
David allegedly fell several months behind in his payments, eventually racking up a $4,100 debt to Olivia Leedham, the mother of his son.
5. That's Not How It Works
David has no custody or visitation rights with regard to his son, so maybe he thought he doesn't have to keep making payments?
6. Better Days
Anyway, the case was settled back when Jenelle and David were still employed, so it was fairly easy for David to come up with the cash.
