Jenelle Evans may want to slow her roll just a little bit.
Over the past few days, the former Teen Mom OG star has been taking bows and running some victory laps, celebrating the return of her children by posting photos of them in the water and by stating that her custody case is closed.
In the Instagram Q&A summarized below, Evans sounds VERY confident that two-year old Ensley and four-year old Kaiser will now remain under her care and supervision forever.
But Nathan Griffith may have something to say about this.
The biological father of Kaiser and Evans' ex-lover, Griffith was able to care for his son on a regular basis for about a month or so after authorities took Kaiser away from Evans and David Eason in May.
(Child Protective Services removed the toddler at the time after Eason shot his family dog and it was determined that Jenelle and David were raising their kids in an unsafe environment.)
He clearly enjoyed this time, but now must return to what had been the status quo:
Under his current legal arrangement, Griffith only sees Kaiser every other weekend -- and this visit must be supervised.
In response to last week's custody ruling, Griffith Tweeted on July 7, writing on his social media account
“I’ve calmed down a bit and just relying on my faith at this moment."
He also posted a link to the official "NC Judicial Standards Complaint Form," suggestiong that followers fill it out as a way to help him convince the state that Kaiser belongs with him.
"Any input will help. The judge’s name is Pauline Hankins. TY #TeamGriffith," Nathan said.
And that's why we referenced Jenelle's roll up above and mentioned that she may want to slow it a tad.
Griffith, you may recall, filed for primary custody of Kaiser in 2018... and this case is still pending.
One year ago, Griffith asked for full legal and physical custody of his five-year old, accusing Eason in the process of being “violent” and a “danger.”
He also accused Jenelle of testing positive for THC at Kaiser’s birth.
Bad - nay, terrible - blood remains between the exes, with Jenelle bashing her second baby daddy on Twitter just days after she earned Kaiser back.
“Want to share to the world how many times you were late to court and on breaks?” she wrote, adding:
“Want to share how your cell phone went off in the middle of our hearings? Want to share how many times you and your side chick break up and get back together?”
Continued Jenelle in this rant:
"Want to share how you took off to Florida as soon as you heard the news Kaiser was back with me? You didn’t stick around for anything. You don’t even help your mom with your sick step dad.
"You put on the biggest front. You even make my mom sick."
This is what Jenelle Evans said when asked about sharing custody of Kaiser with Nathan Griffith.
Evans ended the since-deleted diatribe with:
“One of the hardest issues of my life consists of dealing with the most immature people that cannot co-parent.”
Damn, Jenelle. Tell us how you really feel, why don't you?
While it may seem as if Griffith has a clear and obvious case here -- we mean, who could ever think Jenelle Evans is a fit mother?!? -- the truth is that it's very, very difficult to win a custody case against a child's biological mother.
When you consider Jenelle's history of drug use and Eason's history of violence, and that a judge STILL awarded them custody a few days ago, well... that says it all, doesn't it?
Keep fighting, though, Nathan. You should always fight for what you think is best for your kids.
