Jenelle Evans has told followers that she's ending her very effed up marriage to David Eason.
But while fans think through the consequences of this decision and even give Evans props for finally arriving at it, they must also now deal with a brand new rumor:
Jenelle Evans may be embarking on a brand new beginning with Teen Mom 2.
According to a new report, the once unthinkable notion of re-hiring Evans is at least being thought about by MTV executives, as they deal with a major drop in the show's ratings and interest.
Just how bad has it gotten? And could this actually come to fruition?
Scroll down for some facts and some speculation...
1. She's Outta There!
It took a very long time, but MTV finally came to its sense in May 2019 when it fired Evans from Teen Mom 2, doing so after the troubled star's husband, David Eason, shot and murdered their family dog. This actually happened.
2. MTV Had Already Fired Eason, Of Course
Said the network in a statement this past spring, referencing how it had ended its affiliation with Eason over his many instances of homophobia: “MTV ended its relationship with David Eason over a year ago in February 2018 and has not filmed any new episodes of Teen Mom 2 with him since. Additionally, we have stopped filming with Jenelle Eason as of April 6, 2019 and have no plans to cover her story in the upcoming season."
3. How Did Evans Handle The Firing?
Not terribly at the time. "I was a little bit shocked but I saw it coming,” she told Us Weekly afterward. “It’s shocking still but I respect their decision and have nothing but love for MTV. This is a new chapter for me and my family. I will continue to try what’s best for me and my family."
4. More From Evans:
“David has been here for me since the news broke, he told me to not worry about it and to stay positive,” she added in May. “I’m keeping busy and staying focused on my kids and my animals and my business endeavors which have been planned for months. I’m working to fix my marriage as well and moving forward.”
5. Who Was Brought in to Replace Jenelle?
Jade Cline. She debuted in September 2019 by arguing a lot with her baby daddy, which would make it seem like she's fitting in very well, right?
6. Jade Certainly Thinks So
"I wouldn't consider myself a replacement," Cline told TMZ this fall. "I think I have a good storyline and my story is really relatable to people. I'm just raw with my story so I hope people really relate to it."
