Ever since Jenelle Evans got fired from Teen Mom 2, there's been much speculation about the former reality star's finances.
It's been rumored that Jenelle is broke, which would make sense, considering she and David Eason are raising three children with no visible means of support.
Add to that the fact that both she and David refuse to work, and it's very hard to imagine that Jenelle is sitting on a sizable nest egg these days.
So you might think that when Jenelle addressed her financial situation during a recent Instagram Live session, she would have done so in order to beg for cash from fans.
Instead, the former reality star boasted about the fact that she's still got money to spare.
"Right now I am financially stable being self-employed from home," Jenelle told fans, according to The Blast.
“Just know I am financially stable. There’s a lot of different ways to make money online from home these days.”
That may be true -- but Jenelle doesn't seem to be excelling at any of them.
In fact, in the past few months she's made several attempts at launching a lucrative home business, and all of them failed in spectacular fashion.
Jenelle's makeup line failed for the third time when she tried to sell leftover products that had been mouldering away in some dank warehouse for months.
Not surprisingly, the stuff didn't exactly fly off the shelves.
In fact, it remains unclear if Evans moved any products at all during her latest attempt at becoming a cosmetics mogul.
Realizing that the beauty industry was not for her, Jenelle switched tactics and started trying to peddle exclusive content.
This led to the creation of the subscription-based Jenelle's World website.
Super fans who were willing to pay as much as $75 a month for access were promised loads of original content, as well as frequent interactions with the Carolina Hurricane herself.
"LETS GOOOO! Ever wanted to connect with me on a personal level?! Want to see what I’m REALLY up to these days?" Evans wrote on Instagram the day of the announcement.
"I just launched my new site Jenelle’s World! Sign up for exclusive EVERYTHING! Get rid of the haters and only want to hear from my true fans! See ya there!
But a week after the launch, Jenelle had yet to upload any of the promised content, leading many to the conclusion that either no one subscribed, or Jenelle had reached the point of openly ripping off her few remaining fans.
Neither would surprise us, frankly.
You'd think after so many successive failures, Jenelle would finally begin considering some sort of 9 to 5 employment.
But it seems she still has no intention of seeking employment.
"Maybe one day, but not right now," she replied when a fan asked if she would ever enter the workforce.
“Maybe one day in the future," she added for emphasis.
Considering Jenelle's reputation is currently so bad she can't even land respectable sponsored content deals, we're guessing that one day in the future might come much sooner than she's expecting.
