For some people, too much free time can be a truly terrible thing.
Take Jenelle Evans, for example.
Deep into her second year of unemployment, Jenelle appears to be unraveling.
She was never exactly crushing it, obviously, but New Jenelle makes Old Jenelle look like someone you would trust to be alone with your kids.
Anyway, Ms. Evans has a lot in common with the alcoholic uncle you only see at Thanksgiving:
They both love to waste their two remaining brain cells spewing racist nonsense, and they're both at their absolute worst when they get political.
Which is why 2020 has exposed Jenelle as an even worse person than we realized (which is really saying something).
It's a year that constantly tempts morons to spout off about issues they don't understand and express their smooth-brained beliefs in idiotic ways:
Case in point -- Jenelle and David took the kids to Wal-Mart this week, and of course, no one in the family wore a mask.
Now, she sort of gets a pass on putting Kaiser and Ensley at risk.
Very young children aren't supposed to wear masks, but then again, Jenelle could have simply not dragged the kids to Wal-Mart with her.
After all, just last week Evans flew to Oregon to go to a freakin' weed dispensary, so we know she has access to a sitter.
But why isn't 12-year-old Maryssa wearing a mask? And why the hell aren't Jenelle and David wearing masks?
North Carolina currently has more than 116,000 cases of Covid-19, and that number is rising rapidly.
The governor just canceled the annual state fair for the first time since World War II, but Jenelle and David insist on staggering around town breathing their swamp molecules all over unsuspecting passers-by because they think they're infectious disease experts.
Wal-Mart has decided not to enforce a mask policy, but not because execs have failed to recognize the severity of the Covid threat.
No, they dropped the policy so as to lessen the likelihood of someone physically assaulting a minimum wage employee for daring to suggest they practice common courtesy.
In other words, they dropped the policy because of people like David.
Adding, insult to idiocy, Jenelle recorded the trip and posted it to her Instagram Story.
At the start of the video, she and David are seen driving through a parking lot and mocking people who chose to wear masks.
"She's gotta put her mask on first!" a chuckling Jenelle says about a woman entering the store.
"She can't get too close to people!" Evans adds, apparently in awe of the hilarity of the situation.
Thankfully, this foolish publicity stunt backfired, and Jenelle and David are now getting roasted on every social media platform.
"This is horrible. I am in NC and we have some of the highest rates right now and are on mandatory mask requirements unless you are able to socially distant yourself," one observer wrote.
"I would literally expect nothing else from this clan. In fact I’d be seriously shocked to see either one of them in a mask," another commented.
"Disgusting. I know some stores are giving you the choice but come on!!!!" a third chimed in, adding:
"Do what’s right for your nation they seem to tweet and post so much about loving."
Yes, Jenelle and David are the type of people who blather on and on about patriotism, but can't be bothered to make the slightest sacrifice for the sake of their fellow citizens.
So what prompted the Easons' to risk their own health and the health of their children?
Were they picking up essential supplies before returning to the Swamp for social distancing?
No, Jenelle was buying blue hair dye so that she could force this look on her 6-year-old son.
We know what you're thinking -- since when does Jenelle make time for her kids?
It's true that she's usually a criminally negligent parent, but it's important to consider that Jenelle is also broke.
What does one have to do with the other?
Well, David Eason dyed his hair blonde last week, and the stunt clearly resulted in an uptick in activity on Jenelle's social media pages.
Because earnings from YouTube and sponsored content deals are her only income these days, she decided to replicate the stunt with her son.
This is how people who refuse to wear masks in Wal-Mart think.
Remember that.
And use that information to try and better understand your drunk uncle when we're all still wearing masks and socially distancing this holiday season.
