On Teen Mom 2 Season 5 Episode 13, the show's fifth season finale, Leah and Corey finally got an official diagnosis for Ali, and it’s not what they expected.
The prognosis (so to speak) for Jenelle, Chelsea and Kailyn might surprise you too as all four of the moms are struggling with some major life changes.

The season finale opened with Jenelle having been arrested for disturbing the peace after a fight with beau Nathan Griffith. Pretty (sadly) standard for her.
Worst of all, Jace witnessed her getting arrested, and was crying.
While talking about their fighting, the duo get into another fight because neither one of them has a job. These two are getting to be very high maintenance.
Aside from worrying about how these new criminal charges are going to affect her probation, things with Nathan and Jenelle seem to keep getting worse.
As the tension builds, Nathan tells Jenelle that they aren’t going to stay together, and when Jenelle asks if she should get an abortion, Nathan says yes.
“He might as well be dead,” Nathan says while they are fighting.
Jenelle just loses it. Nathan starts to deny what he just said, but Jenelle pulls over and asks him to get out of her car, after which she bawls uncontrollably.
Nathan eventually comes back, but the damage was clearly done.
Fortunately, we know they worked this out, and she did not have a second abortion. Jenelle Evans is in her third trimester and the couple is still together.
For good, though? And can they make lasting, positive change?
Things between Leah Messer and Jeremy Calvert seem to be going much more smoothly than in recent weeks. She deserves it, too. So that's good.
Later, we learn that little Ali has been having trouble breathing in her sleep. It’s a scary thought, and Leah is concerned she's getting weaker, not stronger.
At an Ohio hospital, Leah and Jeremy meet up with Corey and his wife, Miranda. Leah and Corey finally find out that Ali has a very, very rare condition.
The Titan Gene Mutation is so rare that there are only 20 other known cases in the entire world of this condition, and right now Ali is the only child.
The good news they say is that Ali should be able to walk on her own, even though she will still need her power wheelchair for long distance commutes.
However, the mutation will affect her heart and respiratory system, so now they have to be very careful and keep a watchful eye on Ali as she grows.
Dawn takes Ali for the night so that Leah and Corey can explain everything to their significant others over dinner, as the family stays together and strong.
Kailyn Lowry has a new baby and toddler Isaac running around, and has her hands full as a stay-at-home mom of two now that hubby Javi is back at work.
Thankfully Javi helps out when he gets home, and even though they argue about whether they'll have any more kids, she's got this under control for now.
Meanwhile, baby daddy Jo Rivera calls Kailyn to tell her that he finally got his own apartment, and that his parents separated. Issac has to go somewhere new.
Jo also mentions that Kailyn is going to have to get used to seeing his new girlfriend Vee now that she is living with him, and Kailyn is really annoyed.
Thankfully, she bites her tongue to avoid from starting a fight ... over that or the fact that Javi drops Isaac off for his visits, which Jo is not too keen on.
When Isaac comes home, he starts calling Javi dad, and Kailyn fears Jo is going to yell at Isaac for it. Clearly this modern family has its work cut out for it.
Chelsea Houska’s baby daddy Adam is with Aubree during his visitation weekend. This alone is a rare thing and it's cause for concern for the reality star.
Adam and his new girlfriend, Taylor Halbur, take their two daughters, Paislee (Taylor's daughter with him) and Aubree, bowling. Aubree has a lot of fun.
Chelsea is stressed out about being away from Aubree, despite the fact that she has a test to study for. Sadly, she was right to be worried about Adam.
He gets into a horrific car accident, having been speeding and hit another car. Both cars burst into flames, and Adam had to be pulled out of his car.
If Aubree or Paislee had been in the car, they might have been seriously injured along with the hospitalized Lind, whose driving history is beyond terrible.
