MTV's Teen Mom 2 closed out its fifth season Wednesday night, but not before delivering a heavy dose of the drama, heartbreak and tension we've come to expect.
Almost everyone seems to have been involved in some sort of major fight, and none more than Leah Messer Calvert, who butted heads with Corey Simms.
Leah finally said “enough” of Corey's lack of support of their daughter Ali’s need for a wheelchair, and got a lawyer in an attempt to control her health insurance.
Her husband Jeremy also says he thinks her former husband is a “piece of $h!t” for not paying them the appropriate amount of child support for the girls.
Leah no longer cares about Corey financially as long as their girls are taken care of, so she decides to take it to him ... which does not go over well.
If you watch Teen Mom 2 online, it's not news that Corey is a man of few words, but he musters more than a few in this case, wondering what the deal is.
Leah and Jeremy meet Corey and his wife, Miranda, to drop off the girls and things escalate to a huge fight. Fingers are pointed and words are exchanged.
Most barbs involve the insurance issue, but Corey drags Jeremy into this, saying their parenting has gone to s--t. That’s when Miranda pipes up.
“I don’t think any of us need to be best friends, but I think we need to co-parent and I think that’s the most important thing," she says, and Leah agrees.
Still, it looks like a long battle ahead for Leah Messer and Corey Simms and we can't help but wonder that will take on their marriages, and children.
For the first time since her epic fight with Barbara Evans, Jenelle Evans mentions her issues with Jace to Nathan Griffith, who offers THE WORST advice:
That they go talk to Barbara together, because "they make a good team."
LOL. Jenelle and Nathan have proven stronger a couple than many people expected, don't get us wrong, but "good team" in the sense of conveying this?
Barbara also has zero tolerance for Nathan. If not less than zero.
There's an even bigger snag, too, when Jace tells Jenelle that he doesn’t want to live with the, just visit on the weekends. That way he can stay in his school.
Nathan refuses to accept this.
When Jenelle tries to explain to her future second baby daddy that they need to focus on welcoming Kaiser and getting a bigger house for both boys?
Griffith loses it. Just loses it.
After flipping out on Jenelle, she dishes it right back where it hurts, saying, “Why don’t you worry about your daughter and I’ll worry about my son?”
Ouch. Cut to the saddest/best moment of the finale, with Jace telling Jenelle that if Nathan doesn’t want to come set up for her baby shower, he's there for her.
Sniff.
When Jenelle starts crying because Nathan is “mean” to her, Jace starts singing to her. Watching the little guy be so caring toward his mom is so touching.
Javi is back and that means a romantic night out with Kailyn Lowry. Over dinner, Kailyn can’t pick out wine because she's never had any, but she can pick a fight:
With Jo Rivera. Her baby daddy set to get their son for six whole weeks, per their custody agreement, and Kailyn is not happy about it for obvious reasons.
When she mentions taking Isaac for Father’s Day, Jo calmly explains that having him on that holiday was specific to his custody agreement for a reason.
Finally on Teen Mom 2 Season 5 Episode 22, Chelsea Houska takes Aubree to work so that she can explain what she does, and gives her a "baby facial.”
It's cute. Very cute. Then Taylor Halbur, Adam Lind’s ex-girlfriend and other baby mama, has one-on-one camera time to discuss their break-up.
Adam is dating some new girl named Jessica Nicole. We have no idea where this came from; Aubree's baby facial could only fill so much screen time?
Later on, Chelsea takes Aubree to a softball game and tells everyone that Adam is supposed to be coming to support their daughter. So exciting.
Until infamous new girlfriend, Jessica, shows up, and Houska refers to her as his “porn star girlfriend,” and then tells a friend that Jessica looks “old.”
No word if she is actually old, or stars in porn, but it's becoming clear that Chelsea will never get over Adam, no matter how many other women he impregnates.
At least Chelsea's hotter.
