Teen Mom 2 Season 6 Episode 4 saw Leah and Corey's attempts at co-parenting take a major nosedive, as any fan could've seen coming.
Meanwhile, we traveled further down Kailyn and Javi's rough road, while Chelsea lost control and Barbara Evans paid a visit to Jenelle ...
Picking up where last week left off, Teen Mom 2 Season 6 Episode 4 found Jenelle Evans ramping up her efforts to win custody of Jace.
If you watch Teen Mom 2 online, then you know she has never had this right, as her mother Barbara is the guardian of her first-born son.
This is not a normal situation, but it is a fluid one. Jenelle has made terrific strides, yet Babs has kept him away from her out of spite.
You never know from one day to the next how it's going to go, or what's going to throw a wrench into this fragile relationship next.
When Jenelle and fiance Nathan Griffith asked Jace if he wanted to live with them, and he said he did, that was great ... 'til it wasn't.
Barbara was not happy they put this out there, and said Jace had already told her he wanted to continue to live at his grandma's.
“I’d be devastated [if Jenelle got custody], because I know he’d go to this house and he would be so upset,” Barbara told a friend.
“All that yelling and screaming. He’d be so unhappy. I probably would never see him again. It would kill me, and it would hurt him.”
She raises a valid point ... one driven home when Babs came over to pick up the little guy and Jace called his grandma “Mom.”
Jenelle was pissed off. Arguing ensued.
With Evans graduating from college recently, will that change anything? Is she both serious and capable of taking over custody?
She doesn't seem ready. To us, anyway.
In South Dakota, Chelsea Houska looked into sending Aubree and Adam Lind to a visitation center where they could be monitored.
Adam felt this was ridiculous, and insisted that despite his bad boy reputation and long police record, he is 18 months sober now.
“The sober life is the way to be. If I wasn’t sober, I’d probably be in prison or dead,” Lind told a friend, while pumping serious iron.
“I’ve always said Chelsea and Taylor are great mothers," he added of his two baby mamas, but "co-parenting, not so much.”
With Chelsea losing her cool, can she resolve this amicably? Unclear. Ditto Kailyn Lowry and Javi Marroquin, who hang by a thread.
“Javi and I got into a huge fight. I don’t know. I’m so close to just throwing the towel in,” Kail told a friend regarding her husband.
“I just want to be happy. We rushed into marriage, we rushed into having another baby. We never figured out this stuff [before]."
“On the weekends I want to be with my friends, and you need constant affection and attention,” Kailyn explained to her man.
“You need to be included in everything, and I’m not like that,” she added, to which he responded, “But you used to be like that."
“Why would I want to hang out with someone who all we do is fight? We are on the edge of getting divorced,” Kailyn retorted.
Pretty brutal stuff. Javi remains resolute in trying to find a solution, though, so there is still hope ... at least for the time being.
Meanwhile, her first baby daddy Jo Rivera and his girlfriend Vee are moving to Delaware to be closer to Isaac. So there's that.
Finally, in West Virginia, Corey Simms ripped Leah Messer a new one about how she's dropping the ball with their twin girls.
They argued over how to best punish their daughters, at which point Corey said Ali and Aleeah should stay with him more.
Why? Because he can actually handle it.
“That’s an extra little bit that I don’t have to worry about. I don’t have to worry about are they tardy, are they late,” he explained.
“My concerns are schooling," he added, noting that they're always late or MIA. "Attendance records that are fairly normal.”
“I have trust issues with you, feeling like you’re a threat to me,” Leah shot back, “At the end of the day, it’s my kids, my life."
“I have to do what I have to do.”
Maybe so, but when five-year-old kids have to make their own breakfast 'cause you can't wake up, it may be time to reevaluate.
