We've heard whispers for weeks and pretty much assumed it would be the case, but The Ashley's Reality Roundup now confirms officially:
Teen Mom Season 8 is a go! Filming is underway!
According to The Ashley’s inside sources, the cast is currently filming Season 8 - and never stopped filming following the end of Season 7.
Season 8, therefore, will pick up right where the shenanigans of the current Season 7 (watch Teen Mom 2 online to catch up) leave off.
Despite rumblings of certain cast members not coming back - Leah Messer quitting the show is a frequent rumor - all four will return!
One of the four - Messer, Jenelle Evans, Chelsea Houska and Kailyn Lowry - was reluctant to sign on, but she eventually did agree.
The Ashley isn't spilling on which one, but we know why.
“It’s the same story every season,” her source says. “Someone says they are done, but honestly, no one is going to turn down the money."
"[The girls] are used to making astronomical amounts of money, so it’s not like they can go back to a normal job and live the same lifestyle.”
Their former partners may be a different story, however.
Leah's first ex-husband Corey Simms figures to be back on MTV, but her second ex-husband Jeremy Calvert is adamant about cutting ties.
Chelsea's derelict ex, Adam Lind, has also said he's done.
On the flip side, it's Adam Lind, and how else is he going to pay his legal fees and child support ... so we'll believe that when we see it.
Speaking of The Housk, her upcoming wedding to Cole DeBoer should be a focal point of Season 8, though she won't televise the nuptials.
As for the other girls, we'd expect Jenelle Evans' turbulent custody and romantic issues to be a non-stop source of drama as always.
Moreover, Leah Messer's questionable parenting decisions and dealings with numerous exes are not something that will ever dissipate.
Most of all, though, we're dying to know what's going on behind the scenes regarding the (rumored) Kailyn Lowry-Javi Marroquin divorce.
Grab a hat, Teen Mom 2 Nation, and hold the f--k onto it.
