Last week, we reported that Jenelle Evans was refusing to film Teen Mom 2 until producers met her demands.
It seems Jenelle was unhappy with the way the show was being edited and felt that she had been unfairly cast as the show's villain.
Amazingly, MTV and the show's producers actually agreed to try and meet her demands, which is virtually unheard of on reality shows.
“Jenelle refused to film until they changed the way they were doing things,” an insider told Radar Online.
“She told the producers that they capitalize on all her drama and she was sick of it.”
It seems Jenelle specifically had beef with marketing material for the show that focused on positive changes in the lives of the other girls, but cast Evans and her boyfriend, David Eason, in a negative light.
“In the promos for the show, they always show happy moments for other girls with their kids, but she said if it was a promo involving her it’s all drama and stuff that makes her look bad,” says the source.
Jenelle certainly isn't the first Teen Mom to complain about editing, but she may be the first to actually affect any real change.
Apparently, she was told that nothing could be done about promos that were already set to air, but she was also promised
“Jenelle made them rearrange editing," says the insider.
"So the last two episodes have been better for her. She even made them delete some of the things that had been put on social media that were negative about her. She just refused to film until they fixed some things.”
Unfortunately (and somewhat predictably), it seems producers found themselves in a "give 'em an inch and they'll take a mile" situation, as Jenelle was not placated by their concessions, and followed up with more demands.
Now, In Touch is reporting that Jenelle has "seemingly quit" the show, due to continued conflict with production staff.
"She had a huge fight with the team and told them she is not going to film anything else," said one insider.
Obviously, Jenelle is the emotional type (which might be the understatement of the century), and producers are reportedly hoping she'll calm down and come to her senses.
Unfortunately, the girl knows how to hold a grudge, and they may find it difficult to talk her down from this particular ledge.
